Outdoor Structure Advice
What Information Do We Need for an Installation Quote?
By Premier Assembly
The details that let us quote accurately — and how sharing them up front keeps your project moving.
A good quote starts with good information. Every installation is a little different, so the more detail you can share up front, the more accurate and useful your quote will be.
Here's what helps.
Structure type
What are you having installed — a gazebo, pergola, shed, solarium, or something else? The structure type sets most of the scope.
Brand and model
If you know the manufacturer and model, include them. This helps us understand the kit's general complexity and what hardware might be involved.
Size
The finished dimensions matter. "12x14" or "10x12" is plenty — it helps with planning time and access.
City
Where the installation happens affects scheduling and travel. Your city is a basic but important detail.
Installation surface
Tell us what the structure will sit on — concrete, a wood deck, composite decking, pavers/interlock, grass, or ground. The surface influences how it's assembled and anchored.
Project photos
Photos are some of the most useful things you can send. A few images of the surface, the surrounding space, and the product (box labels or the kit itself) help us understand the scope before quoting.
Site access
Notes on access help us plan the day:
- Narrow or locked gates
- Stairs to a raised deck
- Parking limits or visitor passes
- Tight side yards
Preferred timing
If you have a target window or a deadline — a party, a season, an assessment — mention it. We'll let you know what's realistic.
Existing structures and disassembly
If an old structure needs to come down before the new one goes up, say so. Disassembly is a separate kind of work and needs to be part of the scope.
Accessories
Adding screens, curtains, bars, lighting brackets, or other accessories? Include them so the full scope is counted.
Anchoring requirements, if known
If the manufacturer's instructions call for a specific anchoring approach, or you have a preference, share it. If you're unsure, that's fine — the surface and the product usually tell us what we need to know.
Most of this fits into a single quote request. See our gazebo installation service, and read about how to prepare your backyard for installation.

- Do I need the exact model number?
- It helps but isn't required. Brand and model let us understand the kit's general complexity, but photos and size can be enough to quote.
- What photos should I send?
- A few images of the surface, the surrounding space, and the product (box labels or the kit) are the most useful.
- What if I don't know the surface type?
- Tell us what you can and send photos — we'll help identify it. Concrete, deck, composite, and pavers each have different anchoring considerations.
- Can you include disassembly of an old structure?
- Yes, if you tell us in advance. Disassembly is a separate scope and needs to be part of the request.
