Customer-Supplied Shed Assembly
Premier Assembly assembles your customer-supplied shed kit and positions it on your prepared site, ensuring a square, level and stable structure for everyday storage use. You purchase the shed; we build it. We don't sell sheds.
As shed installers, we handle everything from garden shed assembly to larger storage buildings — sorting components, following the manufacturer's instructions, and anchoring where the product calls for it.
We assemble and position the structure. We do not provide excavation, concrete foundations, gravel bases, wood bases, grading, or electrical work.

Types of Sheds We Assemble
We assemble customer-supplied shed kits across the common materials homeowners buy, where the project falls within our scope. Each is built following the manufacturer's instructions on your prepared, level base.
Resin / Plastic
Resin and plastic shed kits (Keter, Lifetime, Suncast and similar) with panelized walls and snap-fit or hardware assembly, positioned on your prepared level base. A common choice for garden shed assembly.
Wood
Pre-cut wooden shed kits assembled panel by panel following the manufacturer's instructions, squared and positioned on your prepared base.
Metal
Metal shed kits assembled and anchored per the product's instructions where the surface allows.
We don't install every shed on the market — send your product details and we'll confirm whether it's within our scope.
Brands We’re Asked to Install
Premier Assembly has completed shed installations involving the brands below. We’re an independent installer — brand names are for identification only and don’t imply affiliation, endorsement or a partnership with any manufacturer or retailer. We also assemble other resin, plastic, metal and wood shed kits where they fall within our scope.
Keter and Lifetime are among the most common shed brands we’re asked to install — each has a dedicated brand experience page.
See all brand experience pagesDoes My Shed Need a Foundation or Base?
The required base depends on the product, its size, the manufacturer's requirements and your site conditions — there's no single answer that fits every shed. Follow the manufacturer's documentation for your specific model.
We don't build the base. A suitable, level foundation must already be in place before we arrive. Common manufacturer-approved surfaces include:

Concrete pad
Level and in sound condition; the product's requirements are reviewed before we confirm.

Gravel / compacted base
A common manufacturer-approved base where specified — it must be level and compacted per the product's instructions.

Pavers / interlock
A level paver or interlock surface where the product allows; the method is reviewed per structure and surface.

Wood base / platform
Where the manufacturer approves a wood base, it must be level and suitable before installation.
Other manufacturer-approved surfaces may also be suitable — check your product's documentation. If you're unsure whether your base is ready, send photos and we'll take a look before we quote.
How Much Clearance Does a Shed Need for Installation?
Installers typically need working room around the structure to stage components, move panels into place, and square the build safely. The exact clearance depends on the product and its size.
Manufacturer requirements vary — where the product documentation specifies clearances or working space, follow it. As a practical matter, plan for clear access to all sides of the footprint while the build is in progress, and let us know about tight side yards, fences or overhead lines when you request a quote.
Can You Install My Shed on an Existing Concrete Pad?
Often, yes. The pad needs to be suitable, level and accessible, and the product’s requirements must be reviewed before we confirm. A pad that’s cracked, heavily sloped or too small for the shed footprint may not work for a given product.
Send photos of the pad and the product details and we’ll review whether it’s a fit and how the shed would be positioned and anchored.
Send your pad photos for a quoteWhy Does My Shed Need to Be Level?
A level base matters for the practical fit and long-term usability of your shed. When the base is out of level, it can affect:
- Door alignment — doors may bind, drag or fail to close squarely.
- Panel fit — walls and roof panels may not seat properly during assembly.
- Assembly accuracy — a square, level base lets the structure go together as designed.
- Long-term usability — everyday opening, closing and storage use is more reliable on a level surface.
We level the structure during assembly, but a suitable level base must be in place before we arrive.
What’s Included in the Installation
A typical shed installation covers assembly, leveling, door alignment, anchoring where included in scope, cleanup and a walkthrough. Site access is reviewed before the build.
- Product unpacking and component sort
- Assembly according to the manufacturer's instructions
- Leveling and squaring of the structure
- Door and panel alignment
- Anchoring where included in the agreed scope
- Final inspection of the completed build
- Cleanup and removal of product packaging
- Customer walkthrough of the finished shed
- Photo documentation of the completed work
Site access: clear access to the install location and working room around the footprint help the build go smoothly. Tell us about stairs, narrow gates or a long carry when you request a quote.
What Premier Assembly Does Not Include
Transparency matters. The following are outside a standard shed installation unless specifically quoted:
- Foundation, concrete pad, gravel base or wood base construction
- Excavation, grading or re-landscaping
- Electrical, lighting or plumbing work
- Insulation, drywall or interior finishing
- Structural engineering or load certification
- Modifications to the manufacturer's design
What Happens If My Shed Arrives With Missing or Damaged Parts?
Shed kits contain many components. Inspect the packaging and product when you can — a quick check before installation day helps catch issues early.
- We assess missing or damaged parts on site.
- Non-critical parts may let the build continue.
- Structural parts may pause the build until a replacement arrives from the manufacturer or retailer.
- If a return trip is needed, it may involve additional charges depending on the circumstances and the agreed scope.
What You Need to Prepare
Before installation day, have the following ready:
- A level, suitable base per the manufacturer's requirements
- The shed kit on site with all packaging together
- Clear access to the install location (gates, stairs, carry distance)
- Working room around the footprint for the crew
- The manufacturer's instructions or product information
- A check of the parts against the manufacturer's list, if you can
How Long Does Shed Installation Take?
There's no single installation time. Duration depends on the product and the site — smaller resin kits on a prepared base typically take less time, while larger or multi-component builds take longer.
Duration depends on
- Size and footprint
- Brand and model
- Material
- Number of components
- Base / surface
- Anchoring method
- Access and carry distance
- Missing or damaged components
- Crew size required
Your quote includes an expected duration based on your specific product and site.
